Due to confirmed cases of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (H5) in Iowa dairy herds, the State Hygienic Lab is collaborating with health authorities to test individuals showing flu-like symptoms after potential exposure. This effort aims to monitor and control the spread of the virus.
