The State Hygienic Laboratory is CLIA accredited and performs a full range of serological testing for infections of public health importance covering a wide variety of infectious diseases.

Testing Methods and Expertise

Testing methods and expertise include: 

• Sexually Transmitted Diseases – syphilis, viral hepatitis (Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C), HIV
• Arboviral/Tickborne Diseases –West Nile, Lyme disease, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever
• Fungal antibody testing using immunodiffusion for Histoplasmosis, Coccidioidomycosis, Blastomycosis, and Aspergillosis
• Cryptococcal latex agglutination
• Interferon Gamma Release Assay (QuantiFERON Gold Plus) for latent TB
• Measles, mumps antibody detection
• COVID-19 antibody detection
