- 16S Ribosomal rDNA sequencing of nontuberculous mycobacteria
- Acid-fast bacillus culture of clinical specimens

- Fluorescent smear for acid-fast bacilli
- Matrix assisted laser desorption time-of-flight (MALDI-TOF) identification of nontuberculous mycobacteria
- Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) and rifampin resistance PCR
- Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) susceptibility testing
- Quantiferon plus testing for latent TB analysis (Serology)
