Changes implemented in HAA5 sampling bottle
The State Hygienic Laboratory implemented changes in its sampling bottles for HAA5 testing to reduce shipping costs and to simplify HAA5 sample collection. The Hygienic Laboratory will continue to meet requirements of the certified testing method for HAA5.Now in use for HAA5 testing is a single #87 glass, 125ml amber with septa cap and ammonium chloride preservative. The old set of three #42 vials with ammonium chloride preservative and the #42 trip blank is being phased out.
Old sample bottles may be returned to the Hygienic Laboratory.
