TNI (The NELAC Institute) is the State Hygienic Laboratory’s Environmental Accreditation body; this organization ensures compliance to regulatory requirements such as Safe Drinking Water Act, Clean Water Act, and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act. The TNI Standard (TNI 17025:2016) is based off the ISO/IEC 17025:2005 standard. The Kansas Department of Environmental Health accredits the State Hygienic Laboratory to NELAC standards.
