Test requests and results have new look

Image of OpenElis logoThe Disease Control Division at the State Hygienic Laboratory is moving to a new laboratory information management system (OpenELIS) on Sunday, March 1. The new system will affect how clinical specimens (except for neonatal screening, maternal screening and rabies) are reported, billed, and accessed through the web.

For those who access their results through the PHIMS web portal, results for all clinical tests (except for neonatal screening, maternal screening and rabies) that are received on or after March 1 will be posted in OpenELIS. Results for clinical tests received before March 1 will remain in PHIMS for historical reporting.

All PHIMS web users will be automatically moved to the OpenELIS web portal shortly before March 1. You will use the same user name and password to access the new OpenELIS web portal. The new portal will greatly improve your access to the results by offering enhancements that include:
