Governor’s Conference set for April 1 and 2

The 2014 Iowa Governor's Conference on Public Health, “Making Connections—Partnerships for Better Health Outcomes,” will be April 1 and 2 at the Scheman Conference Center on the Iowa State University campus in Ames.

The conference is the work of several Iowa health organizations, including the Iowa Public Health Association, the Iowa Environmental Health Association and the Iowa Counties Public Health Association. The intended audience includes professionals in public health, environmental health, health promotion, laboratory sciences and primary care, as well as students in these fields.

The Hygienic Laboratory is a sponsor of the conference. Several staff members will be giving presentations.

Early bird registration ends March 4, and regular registration closes on March 21. Information is available on the IPHA website. Questions may also be directed to Sara Patkin, conference coordinator, at mspatkin@yahoo.com.
